Buggy Walk Competition!
To mark World Maternal Mental Health Day, we’re inviting mums across Somerset to get moving, raise awareness, and support one another with our Buggy Walk Competition!
About World Maternal Mental Health Day & Marching for Mothers:
For 10 years, World Maternal Mental Health Day has existed to raise awareness around the globe for better Maternal Mental Health Care
As many as 1 in 5 new mothers experiences some type of perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMADs). These illnesses frequently go unnoticed and untreated, often with tragic and long-term consequences to both mother and child. It’s time to make a change.
Sport in Mind, together with Postpartum Support International will be Marching for Mothers this World Maternal Mental Health Day to highlight the issue, raise awareness of the need, and together, work towards the solution
Their call to action:
- Join a walk! You can find the full list of Sport in Mind organised walks below!
- Set up your own walk- we want to galvanize the nation to get Marching for Mothers this World Maternal Mental Health Day!
- Walk with your baby- on your own or with a friend, In solidarity of mothers all over the world

- Entrants MUST be women ages 16+ and live in Somerset County and you don’t need to be currently active to enter!
